Why you should focus on your brands identity.

What is Brand Identity?

Think of your brand as a person. What is that person like? How does this person dress? How do they talk? Like it or not, people pass some judgement based on look. It's often how we make decisions. Now, I’m not saying passing this kind of judgement is good, but I am saying consider the first impression people will have of your brand.

We will often develop our relationships according to similar interest, your brand develops relationships the same way. If the focus is to sell minimalist modern furniture, then you're going to attract people who like minimalist modern furniture. Really consider who your brand is, not just what it is. Give it a personality. Give it life. Build the lore around your brand. This will become it’s identity.

This identity is established through thoughtfully, and meticulously curating your brands moodboard. This is the fun part. Let's discuss.

So, you now know what a brand identity is, kind of. You've got part of the story, so let's dive deeper.

Bring back your personified brand, and learn more about them on a personal level. Here is where we find out your brands favorite colors, and fonts, and basically all of their aesthetic preferences.

Does your brand like muted earth tones and bold, minimalist fonts? Or do they like arrays of color and funky display fonts? To figure this out, look at the audience you're marketing towards. Again, thinking of your brand as a person you are building, does your brand look like someone your audience would want to hangout with? Does it look like someone you would hangout with? Don’t build something you can’t be proud of.
